Is the present Elementary Education providing equal oppertunites to all children ?

Back to Primary Education

The present elementary education system has devide into two fold i.e., one for poorer sections and another for well to do children.  In this context it is become a meracle for the poorer sections of children to compete with the children of alite and other wealthy educated parents.  The gap is increasing day by day.  A few from the poorer section were going to get the good apportunities.  The remaining are left behind and prone to join to serve the wealthy people.

As per the constitution all are equal before law. But we know how true it is. year by year rich becoming rich poor become poor.In India we had different services for different rate. Similarly in education also we never expect all get equal opportunities.rich people will get good education and become rulers and poor will and marginalized will get low quality and becomes follower. What ever may the laws Things may takes very slowly.till they have to bare the burden.

Our system has good intention in doing everything, but we are so optimistic in starting any programmes and never pay any attention in implementing the same. so in the case of providing access, computers in schools, achieveing quality education and providing equal oppertunities in all ares.Every thing are being shown in statistics, but not in poor chioldren hands.

It is quite true that the quality of education is quite different in schools being attended by the elite people and those by the poor children. However efforts are being taken by various agencies to bridge this gap. Innovative solutions such as Multi grade and Multi level teaching skills for teachers handling various children of different standards have been experimented and is working well. GOvt. is taking computers and connectivity to the schools to enhance the quality of education through computer aided learning. Innovative concepts in handling children such as activity based learning are promoted by various organisations in rural schools. We should be able to appreciate that the gap is slowly getting narrowed.
