Real education consists in drawing the best out of you. What better book can there be than the book of humanity?

True Value of Education

The real difficulty is that people have no idea of what education truly is. We assess the value of education in the same manner as we assess the value of land or of shares in the stock-exchange market. We want to provide only such education as would enable the student to earn more. We hardly give any thought to the improvement of the character of the educated. The girls, we say, do not have to earn; so why should they be educated? As long as such ideas persist there is no hope of our ever knowing the true value of education.

National Curriculum Framework for Teacher Education

Education has continued to evolve, diversify and extend its coverage since the dawn of history.  Every country develops its system of education to express and promote its unique socio-cultural identity and also to meet the challenges of time". These words of the National Policy on Education (NPE) 1986 subsequently revised in 1992, give direction  to Indian Education. The policy further emphasises that “the Government of India will also review, every five years, the progress made and recommend guidelines for further development”.
