The present essay type exam formats do not test the skill of the child. Marks are invariably awarded based on the volume of the paper written by the student rather than the contents and quality. They don't really test the skill. Even an inteligent student might lack the ability to express his thoughts while writing. The board exams at the 10th standard level restraints the creativity of the young students.The students are not mature enough to take up exams at this age.

Class 10 Board exam should be scrapped as it unnecessariily creates burden on the student because till date old myth is still concerned that passing the matriculation is must and out of this fear even the normal students starts puzzling. Hence 10th board needs to be scrapped.

It is prudent to scrap the x std exam since the stress and strain and pressure the student undergos during the exams is enormous which tells up on the phsyche of the child. Further parents also have the tension and huge expectation which is thrusted on the child. All the education system now availble in India is only a legacy of colonal system and has seldom works good for the individual and society. The emerging India does not need subordinate clerical society ( which includes IAS,IPS and Govt jobs). There is erosion in values in societies and all these factors now needs education with specific orintation for the benefit of the advancement of the individulas, society and country.

It's wisely said that examinations and election are the greatest evils of today. It'll be prudent on the part of our Government to scrap the class X Board Exam as they are proving one of the greatest strenuous burden on our adolescents. Parents being untrained and mostly under-qualified bent suppressing the natural growth of their kids. What happens in the West/the USA etc we tend to imitate (more stubbornly their vices). It's high time that we ought to rise to the need of the hour and rethink, re-plan, revise, re-establish institutions of learning in more useful machinery to generate good future human being.
