Taking care of hidden information needs
As a mother of an adolescent daughter, I always wanted to teach my daughter on how to take care of her health. Residing in a village, it's difficult to express such needs for information to others.
One day through the Ashwini Centre (Village Information centre) operator, I came to know that there was an exclusive coverage in Telugu on Adolescent health in the InDG web portal. I found the InDG portal well designed and very informative for women and for adolescent girls.
In villages, we are not aware of how an adolescent girl should take care of herself. We give very less importance to personal hygiene. After going through the portal, I understood how practicing simple hygiene practices can prevent dreadful diseases. This web site is very useful for rural people like me.
I wish this portal brings us more such useful information.
