Request for information under Right to Information Act- 2005
- You can seek information under RTI Act- 2005 from any Public Authority (government organization or government aided organization)
- Application can be handwritten or typed. Application form can be downloaded from India Development Gateway Portal
- Application should be submit in English, Hindi or any other state languages
- Provide following information in your application:
- Name and office address of Assistant Public Information Officer (APIO)/Public Information Officer (PIO)
- Subject: Application under-Section 6(1) of Right to Information Act- 2005
- Particular of information you want from public authority
- Applicant Name
- Father’s/Husband’s Name
- Category- SC/ST/OBC
- Application Fee
- Are you come under BPL family- Yes/No,
- Postal address with mobile No and e-mail ID (Mobile No and e-mail ID is not mandatory)
- Date and place
- Applicant signature
- List of enclosures
- Before applying, check the name of Assistant Public Information Officer/Public Information Officer, specified fee and mode of fee payment
- There is provision of application fee to get the information under RTI Act, but person from SC/ST category and BPL family are exempted from fee submission
- Those who want fee exemption, will have to submit Xerox copy of SC/ST/BPL certificate
- Application should be submitted by hand or by post or by e-mail. In case, you are sending your application by post then use only registered post service. Always avoid courier service.
- Make two (2) Xerox copy of application (i.e. main application, proof of fee submission, proof of application submission by hand or by post) for your further reference and keep them safely.
- If you are submitting your application by hand, then get receipt from office with clearly marked date and seal. If application is sent by post, then send that by Registered Post and keep the postal receipt very safely.
- Time of delivery of information will be count from the date of receiving the application by Public Information Officer.
